Rusty Morrison obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California, and his Juris Doctor from Hastings Law School. In 2014, Rusty Morrison celebrated his 50th year as a practicing attorney.
Early in his career, Rusty was a Captain, and Judge Advocate General, in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Marine Corps, Rusty began practicing Workers’ Compensation Law, and opened his own practice in 1984 where he represented injured workers against insurance companies. He continues to represent injured workers to this day, and has been a Judge Pro-Tem of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board since 1988.
In 1998, Rusty’s daughter, Jennifer LaRossa, joined her father’s firm, and Morrison & LaRossa was formed. Later, in 2006, Jeff Price, Rusty’s son-in-law, passed the California Bar Exam and Morrison, LaRossa & Price was born.
Rusty is also involved in the local community. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Long Beach Bar Association, the Museum of Latin American Art, a Friend of the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific, and of the Petroleum Club.
Today, the firm that Rusty started in 1984, has blossomed from a one person entity, to a four-attorney firm. Still helping injured workers, Morrison, LaRossa, Price & Iturrioz also helps clients will all aspects of Family Law matters from domestic partnerships, to child support and custody issues, to spousal support, from simple dissolutions to multimillion dollar, complex divorces. We also represent individuals with Social Security Disability claims and personal injury matters.
